About us

A chimney company that shows its work

Chimney Expert Solutions is a locally owned chimney services company working across Cleveland and the surrounding suburbs. The trade has a trust problem — ours is a simple answer to it: photographs of every finding, honest triage, and one crew responsible for the whole system.

Why we work the way we do

Chimney work happens where you can't see it — up a flue, on a roof, inside a masonry shaft. That invisibility is exactly why the trade attracts scare tactics: a homeowner who can't see the problem can't tell a real one from an invented one. We decided early that the fix for that isn't asking for trust — it's removing the need for it.

So every inspection and every repair quote comes with photographs of your own chimney: the cracked tile, the open joint, the rusted-through chase cover — or the perfectly sound flue, when that's what we find. Findings are ranked honestly as urgent, plan-for, or fine. And because we handle the whole system sweeping, masonry, liners, crowns and caps, flashing and fireboxes — the diagnosis and the repair come from the same accountable crew, not a referral chain.

We're local, and Cleveland is the point: this housing stock — pre-war brick in Lakewood and Cleveland Heights, postwar bungalows in Parma and Euclid, newer prefab systems out toward Westlake and Rocky River — is what we know, and Northeast Ohio's freeze-thaw winters are the opponent we plan around. The full list of communities we serve runs across Cuyahoga County and the ring around it.

Honest triage comes standard: urgent, plan-for, or fine. Most findings get scheduled, not panicked over.

One crew, whole system

One crew for the whole chimney — sweep, inspection, masonry, liner, crown, cap and flashing, with one person responsible for all of it.

Cleveland is the specialty

The housing stock, the lake weather, the freeze-thaw cycle — local conditions are half the diagnosis.

The standard

The annual rhythm we'll put your chimney on

The NFPA 211 standard recommends every chimney be inspected at least once a year. For a chimney that burns through a Cleveland winter, the practical rhythm is: sweep and inspect before the season, fix masonry during the warm months (mortar won't cure below ~40°F), and never let a water problem carry over another freeze cycle.
